About MakeTheStartup
We're building the platform we wished existed when we started our own entrepreneurial journey.
Our Mission
MakeTheStartup exists to remove the barriers between having a startup idea and building a successful company. We believe that every founder — regardless of their background, location, or resources — deserves access to intelligent guidance, a supportive community, and the tools to bring their vision to life.
We're not just a directory of startups. We're an AI-powered platform that acts as a virtual co-pilot for your entire startup journey — from the spark of an idea to scaling your business.
What We Do
Startup Discovery
Browse and discover innovative startups across 50+ categories. Get inspired, find competitors, and understand what others are building.
AI Startup Assistant
Our AI understands startups. Get personalized roadmaps, business validation, marketing strategies, task generation, and ongoing guidance tailored to your specific idea and stage.
Founder Community
Connect with other founders, find co-founders, browse startup jobs, share your build-in-public journey, and get feedback from people who understand the struggle.
Startup Ideas
Browse validated startup ideas waiting to be built. Each idea comes with a problem statement, market analysis, and difficulty assessment to help you find your next venture.
Our Values
Founder First
Every feature we build starts with a simple question: does this help founders build better startups? If the answer isn't a clear yes, we don't build it.
Privacy & Trust
Your startup ideas and data are yours. We never share your AI conversations, project details, or personal information with other users. Your trust is non-negotiable.
Practical AI, Not Hype
We use AI to provide genuinely useful startup guidance — not to impress with tech jargon. Our AI gives actionable advice, not generic responses. It's trained to think like a startup advisor, not a chatbot.
Community Over Competition
The startup world isn't zero-sum. When one founder succeeds, it inspires others. Our community is built on the belief that founders supporting founders creates better outcomes for everyone.
